Tip 7 of 10 tips for aging well is one of life’s best tips, “get lots of rest” … and …

Don’t go to sleep angry. This is true for creating a restful sleep. If you are angry, you may be distracted all night and not get a restful sleep.

A Tip for aging well is to sleep in a very dark room for restful sleep; daytime sleepers black out the room with window treatments.

Get Lots of Rest

To eliminate stimulation and distraction before trying to get a good nights rest, Do NOT watch TV in bed. If you cannot resist, make sure to watch something light and fun, such as the food network. Many people dream about whatever they did the last few hours before bed – dreaming about food is a lot better than dreaming about horror.

Stress is a major cause for anti aging, one of my tips for aging gracefully is to Step away from work, paying bills, or any other stressful item at least an hour before bed in order to have a restful sleep.

Exercise to have a restful sleep. Exercise during the morning or afternoon to promote your body being tired at night. Avoid exercise at night because it will wake your body up.

Tip 6 of 10 tips for aging well is “Practice consistent personal hygiene”

Importance of Consistent Personal Hygiene

So many guides on the Internet forget to discuss a smart tip for aging… personal hygiene.  Personal hygiene such as dental care, vision, hearing, hands & nails, your home and cars are all very important to take superb care of for graceful aging.  Consistency in cleaning and caring for all these areas is a way to prevent from illness, infection or long term issues.  As a smart aging tip, we should all be proud of our bodies and how we take care of ourselves, there is no reason why you shouldn’t advance into your golden years as healthy, high energy baby boomer and senior boomers that are glowing with healthy gums, teeth, hair, nails, hearing, vision and skin due to clean and healthy living environments.

Practice Consistent Personal Hygiene

As we all understand, good genes play a role in many aspects of our health, including how we look, but each individual has to take care of themselves properly in order to maintain good health.  The scientific knowledge of the human body and the aging process is so advanced that in today’s world with modern technology to use as a resource over what we had accessible to us even a decade ago, for those looking to define their beauty through cosmetic laser or surgery can do so for a pretty penny, however in order to maintain a healthy glow, one must still keep up on consistent personal hygiene for long term results.  Simple common sense preventive steps, coupled with the Internet knowledge available, we now have and realize that longevity is about more than hitting a certain age, rather, it is about utilizing what we know about our bodies and actually thriving at an older age.

Tip 5 of 10 tips for aging well is to “think and live young”.  Thinking young keeps you young. Life is a precious gift, so thinking positively and staying interested in whats happening in the world with trends of all ages, will keep your mind working on the present time and keep you thinking young.  Realize that even at the age of 55-75 and beyond, you are still “young”.  As long as you have a zest for life and you take intelligent steps to get the most from your body and your life, you ARE young!

Think Young, Live Longer

Living life to the fullest is the fountain of youth and a smart tip for aging well. Think about kids for a minute and look at how they play and how they are always curious…so keep that in mind and your spirit will stay young.

Never take life too seriously, and don’t lose your sense of joy and laughter.  A strong tip for aging well is if someone in your life doesn’t understand you and your sense of thinking and acting young, so be it, it is their loss not yours!

You are who you think you are, if you say your okay or tired, than that is all that you are, but if you say I’m great, I live a fabulous life and things keep getting better and better, then that is what you will feel, which will magnetically attract greatness to you, keeping you looking, feeling and thinking young.  A tip for aging well is to keep all negative thoughts far away from your mind and you will see just how young you really are, and when you take stock in reality, think about the positive outcome you hope to gain from the every situation you encounter.

Tip 4 of 10 tips for aging well is to manage stress.  Stress will prematurely break down your body.  Stress is the culprit of evil for anti aging.  An excess of the hormone produced called gluccocorticoid is what will push your body into stress mode and break you down.

Many people are becoming to old for their age and what that means is due to stress and toxins, our body takes on symptoms, or signs of aging such as high blood pressure, heart disease, fatigue, memory loss, wrinkles – and all of these are not your typical symptoms of aging; it is the stress that makes us look and feel older once the body starts to prematurely age.  A smart aging tip is to age gracefully by changing habits one at a time so that as you develop better habits you will ease into becoming a healthy baby boomer and senior boomer.

Manage Stress, Live Life Longer

If you make poor lifestyle choices then the consequences will be harmful.  Along the lines of drinking, smoking and eating junk food, emotional stress is another enormous factor in how we age.  One of the best tips for aging well happens to be my favorite of all America’s best aging tips… simply cut out negativity from relationships, news & media, or other peoples emotional responsibilities, free yourself of demons, fears, and regrets, then you will be on a better road to living with less stress; find a way to cope, and make changes in your life whether through exercise, prayer, meditation, self therapy etc and this will make a huge impact on your well being

Tip 3 of 10 Tips for Aging Well is to get lots of exercise. The human body is designed to conserve energy so if you do not move or get exercise, you are sending a message directly to your muscles, bones and brain to say, “exercise is not necessary” … which is compromising your immunity, which means you compromise the mental capacity that begins to deteriorate over time.

As we age, exercise is of the upmost importance; it is a known fact that as we approach the baby boomer years and head into the senior baby boomer phase of life, each year you don’t exercise you lose muscle mass, which leads to a higher probability for osteoporosis and dangerous bone density.  Along the lines of living sedentary as we age, the probability of weight gain is greater.  Exercise is the easiest form of insurance for a healthy long life, so don’t just sit there… get off your laurels and move!

Daily Exercise

If you take the mentality that exercise means way more to your body than just being pretty on the outside then you are on the right track to aging gracefully both mentally and physically.  The tips for aging well is to get up and exercise, if you are tired of lacking energy then it is likely because you are not active; exercise is the best way to bring energy into your cells and kick your life into high gear, so what are you waiting for, get out and take a walk, move however you are comfortable for a minimum of 20 minutes daily and I’ll bet money you will feel better instantly.
